The Bravado Bison is a crew cab pickup truck appearing in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online, and due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI.

Description

Grand Theft Auto VI

The Bison's presence in Grand Theft Auto VI was first confirmed in the game's first trailer, where a black Bison can be seen parked in the distance during a shot of Vice City's Rialto Islands (0:31).

A utility Bison operated by Vice-Dale County can be seen in the game's second trailer, parked along Interstate 97 (0:35). A camo-liveried Bison towing a utility trailer while being pursued by POACH officers appears in an official screenshot of the Grassrivers.

Influence

The Bison's overall design appears to have influences taken from the fourth-generation Dodge Ram Quad Cab and major influences from the third-generation GMC Sierra, which is especially noticeable in the front bumper, headlight arrangement, and cab design. Moreover, the grille bears a resemblance to that of the second-generation Toyota Tundra. The rear design and side mirrors take cues from the twelfth generation of the Ford F-Series. Additionally, the side skirts seem to be inspired by the previous-generation Ram Daytona, while the wheels feature a six-spoke design that is reminiscent of the 2006-2008 Ram models.

The Bison takes on a somewhat sports-influenced, but still large and industrial design. The front end is dominated by a large, protruding chrome-trimmed grille, standing out as the Bison's most defining feature. On the rear tailgate, subtle body lines smoothly connect with the chrome detailing separating the brake lights and the turn signals, creating a symmetrical design that stands out when viewing the truck from the rear.

The rear bed of the Bison features two utility boxes, which act as the vehicle's fifth and sixth seats, similar to the Bodhi. The rear end also features a tow hook, making the Bison one of the few pickup trucks with the ability to tow trailers. The front bumper of the Bison features two circular fog lights, but they are non-functional.

The interior of the truck uses the "Cavalcade" interior type used on similar pickups like the Everon and the Sandking XL. The Bison is only painted in a single primary color, with no other color slots available. The truck uses medium profile tires that enwrap a unique set of six-spoke wheels.

Performance

Thanks to its modeled V8, with, according to TV advertisements, 6000 horsepower, the Bison is capable of reaching a good top speed, but it leaves much to be desired in terms of acceleration. Much like the Dodge Ram, it handles well while off-roading thanks to its 4WD (20% front, 80% rear) drivetrain, however, it lacks stability, most notable when doing the off-road truck racing. The Bison has a lot of power (6000 horse power, as advertised on TV) and it has excellent torque, allowing it to climb steep hills with ease.
