It's an iconic American image... A cop in sunglasses and unnecessarily tight pants, cruising down a dusty freeway on a Sovereign motorbike, pulling over female drivers and offering them two ways to pay their ticket.

The Western Motorcycle Company Sovereign 107 (formerly simply Sovereign) is a cruiser appearing in Grand Theft Auto V and Online, and due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI.

Description

[edit | edit source]

Grand Theft Auto V and Online

[edit | edit source]

The Sovereign was added to Grand Theft Auto V and Online as part of the Independence Day Special update.

Grand Theft Auto VI

[edit | edit source]

A girl can be seen leaning on a red Sovereign, parked up at the car meet/yard within the Stockyard neighborhood of Vice City, in the first trailer (0:27).

The name "Sovereign 107" is mentioned in the August 2026 GTA VI leaks, in a video titled "Junkies", where Jason steals its police variant. Upon mounting the bike, "Sovereign 107" is displayed above the minimap, confirming the bike's new name.

Design

[edit | edit source]

Grand Theft Auto V and Online

[edit | edit source]

The Sovereign is essentially a civilian variant of the-then pre-existing Police Bike, sharing the initial design and most of its features. Notable differences are the removal of emergency lights and the mounted megaphone on the right, as well as the "POLICE" marking on the windshield/visor. The original blue emergency lights beside the license plate found on the police variant were replaced by standard red lights, while the fuel tank features WMC markings on either side. It can also spawn with a tinted front windshield.

The Sovereign always spawns with a patriotic livery that cannot be removed or edited, although files reveal it spawns in white. It shares the same wheel design as the police variant, albeit featuring whitewall tires.

Grand Theft Auto VI

[edit | edit source]

The Sovereign returns with a stripped-back design in stock condition, removing the panniers and additional modifications as well as the permanent US flag paintjob.

Performance

[edit | edit source]

Grand Theft Auto V and Online

[edit | edit source]

The Sovereign's performance is identical to the Police Bike and handles much like the Bagger. It has an excellent top speed, but acceleration leaves much to be desired. The bike gets most benefit from the performance upgrades available in Los Santos Customs, since these are mostly focused on acceleration. The motorcycle is quite heavy, and as a result, it is not as nimble and maneuverable as other lighter bikes in the game. It has a large turning radius.

Like the police variant, the bike is powered by a V-Twin engine and coupled to a 4-speed gearbox. The Sovereign uses a low-revving, odd-firing engine sound similar to the one found on the Hexer and the Daemon. However, it seems to emit a louder tone similar to the one found on the Police Bike and the Bagger.

Variants

[edit | edit source]

The motorcycle appears as a base variant for several motorcycles which predate the base model itself.

Oversights

[edit | edit source]

Grand Theft Auto V and Online

[edit | edit source]
  • When the blinkers are broken, the texture of the lamp will remain on the back, but the plastics in the front will disappear and the lamp will show through.
  • There was a glitch that could change the color of the Sovereign through use of the iFruit mobile app. By using this glitch, one could also apply window tint.
  • The Sovereign has had a special script added that defaults the Primary, Secondary, Pearlescent and Wheel colors, no matter what changes occur. This has effectively created no way to repaint the motorcycle. [1]
  • The fender-mounted amber lights may appear black if the windshield appears tinted.
  • On closer inspection, the square turning lights of the Sovereign, as well as the main and brake red lights, appear to retain the LED textures from the Police Bike's emergency lights.
    • This is because the actual lights from the Police Bike were removed in this model and the original LED emergency lights were changed with the standard red and amber colors.
    • Also, the dual red light set from the Police Bike was replaced by a second LED light, being a copy from the upper LED light (which was the dual set of LED lights from the Police Bike and the lower half of the texture was transferred onto the lower lamp and resized to fit into the lamps).
