Southern San Andreas Super Autos description, GTA Online.

The Bravado Rumpo is a van in Grand Theft Auto V and Online.

The van returns from the 3D Universe, where it assumed an older design.

Influence

[edit | edit source]

In Grand Theft Auto V and Online, the Rumpo closely resembles the 2008-2014 Ford E-Series van. The fascia appears to take influence from the first generation GMC Canyon, combined with the inset center grille bar from the Isuzu i-series and the canted lower corner of the headlights from the E-Series. The high-mounted taillights and door handles are derived from the Chevrolet Express.

Design

[edit | edit source]

The Rumpo is a traditional American full-size cargo van with a relatively modern design. It features a chrome front fascia with stacked flush composite headlights, along with chrome front and rear bumpers. The wheel arches are subtly sculpted, with the sculpted front arches continuing through to the front doors. The rear features conventional split barn doors, with a black plastic license plate mount incorporating the rear door handle on the right door, and high-mounted taillights placed on the D-pillars in line with the rear windows.

The Rumpo's five-spoke alloy wheel design is reused from the Speedo. Its interior is shared with other vans and various trucks in the game, which use the analog "Truck" dials in the enhanced version of the game. A barely perceptible dark red window tint is applied by default.[1] It may spawn with or without a Weazel News livery, which is not tied to any of the default spawn colors.

Performance

[edit | edit source]

The rear-wheel-drive Rumpo has average acceleration compared to other vans, though it has the advantage of being able to be modified at Los Santos Customs to improve its performance. It is somewhat agile and can corner easily at low speeds. Durability is average. Its high ground clearance allows it to cover rough ground with relative ease.

The Rumpo's engine model lacks detail, but is modeled in the style of a V8 or V6, connected to a five-speed transmission. It uses the same four-cylinder engine sound as most of the other vans in the game, including the Burrito, Pony, and Speedo.

Oversights

[edit | edit source]
  • Due to a misplaced vertex, there is a gap in the rear wheel well on the right side through which the interior of the Rumpo can be seen.
  • An apparent typo in the vehicle's data causes the default window tint to be set to the hex value 05700000,[1][a] with 05 producing a barely perceptible 5% opacity level and 70 producing a red value of 112. Consequently, the window tint cannot be seen in-game unless the player shoots out the glass, at which point the remaining shards will be colored red. The tint value was likely intended to be 57000000, which would have produced an 87% opacity level with no color. This is further evidenced by the Khamelion, which uses this value.
  • Originally, when entering Los Santos Customs, the on-screen text would refer to the van as the "Grotti Rumpo."
  • In an update vague for Grand Theft Auto V, the Weazel News livery for the Rumpo was mistakenly made permanent. This was corrected in a subsequent update, vague while simultaneously introducing another error that caused the livery texture to be corrupted and discolored. The livery was corrected in the following update. vague
