The Maibatsu Vincent is a four-door sedan appearing in Grand Theft Auto IV and Episodes from Liberty City.

The car returns from the HD Universe of the Grand Theft Auto series, where it assumed an older design.

Influence

[edit | edit source]

The Vincent appears to be based on the eighth generation Mitsubishi Galant, with the rear fascia modeled after the first generation BMW 8 Series.

Design

[edit | edit source]

The Vincent is a mid-size sedan with a sporty, angular design, notable for its pronounced, forward-angled fascia and steeply raked windshield.

It may spawn with or without a rear spoiler; models with the spoiler will also feature a unique "LX2007" badge placed on the trunk.

Its interior, shared with the Feroci, is derived from the DF8-90 with different door cards and gauges backlit in teal, rather than red.

The Vincent is equipped with a GPS system with a female voice, but only if the player leaves the "selected cars" (default) option in the audio menu.

Performance

[edit | edit source]

The Vincent's acceleration and top speed are acceptable, but unimpressive. The car handles decently, with minimal body roll and impressive grip, though it is prone to understeer. It suffers from some of the weakest brakes of any car in the game, taking over a block to come to a stop from top speed.

The Vincent features a four-cylinder engine model, a five-speed transmission, and an all-wheel-drive powertrain in a 60/40 front/rear split. Its smooth, high-pitched engine sound is shared with the Feroci, Huntley Sport, Oracle, Presidente, and Primo.

Oversights

[edit | edit source]
  • When occupants in the front seats lean forward during heavy breaking, their heads will clip through the windshield due to its steep rake.
  • Despite being manufactured by Maibatsu, the Vincent's head rests, floor mats, and steering wheel bear Imponte branding, due to its interior being reused from the DF8-90.
