• January 13th: Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City are temporarily removed from Steam due to end of support of Microsoft's Games for Windows Live platform.   • April 6th to April 13th: Peyote Plants are found in different spots around San Andreas.
  • The events of Gerald's Last Play take place.
    • April 23th: Gerald has new contact missions for the GTA Online Protagonist.
    • Several gang members of the Marabunta Grande, four henchmen and their Boss are killed by the GTA Online Protagonist.
    • The Boss of the Los Santos Triads and many of his men are killed by the GTA Online Protagonist at the Raven Slaughterhouse.
• The events of the Los Santos Summer Special update for Grand Theft Auto Online take place.
  • Brendan Darcy has new missions for the GTA Online Protagonist.
  • The GTA Online Protagonist destroys ten boats belonging to the Boss of the Kkangpae, sparking a war between the protagonist and the Kkangpae.
  • The Kkangpae raid the GTA Online Protagonist's Galaxy Super Yacht and kidnap Brendan Darcy and the yacht's bartender, who are rescued by the protagonist.
  • Several fires started by the Kkangpae are put out by the GTA Online Protagonist.
  • The Fridgit warehouse in Cypress Flats is attacked by the GTA Online Protagonist, who destroys the air-conditioning units used to keep the Kkangpae's temperature-sensitive product cold.

  • November 12th: Players who own a Master Penthouse at The Diamond Casino & Resort receive a text message from Tom Connors apologizing for the construction noise at the back of the casino.
  • November 19th: A corpse and a briefcase appear near the southwest coast of Los Santos at a random location ranging from Vespucci Beach to Los Santos International Airport.
• The events of The Cayo Perico Heist update for Grand Theft Auto Online take place.
  • December 15th: The Music Locker opens underneath the Diamond Casino & Resort.
  • Kult FM 99.1 begins broadcasting in Los Santos.
  • FlyLo FM and WorldWide FM begin broadcasting new mixes.
  • Miguel Madrazo hires the GTA Online Protagonist to raid Juan Strickler's compound in Cayo Perico, off the Caribbean coast of Colombia, and bring back the files containing information on the Madrazo family.
  • The GTA Online Protagonist purchases a Kosatka submarine to use in planning The Cayo Perico Heist, and meets its one-man crew, former Russian Navy sailor Pavel.
  • Jimmy Iovine's house is robbed by Johnny Guns, and Dr. Dre's phone containing important data and unreleased music demos is stolen.
  • Juan Stricker kills his henchman Gustavo by feeding him to his panther.
  • El Rubio's Compound is raided by the GTA Online Protagonist, who successfully steals the Madrazo Files and takes them back to Miguel Madrazo's Mansion in Los Santos.
  • El Rubio's Compound continues to be raided and robbed by the GTA Online Protagonist.
  • December 22nd: Still Slipping Los Santos and Music Locker Radio begin broadcasting in Los Santos.
  • December 31st: Party guests in Cayo Perico have reported seeing Treasure Chests on land and underwater.
