ICYMI: Fireside Chat with Steve Huffman @ Goldman Sachs 2026 Conference
ICYMI: Fireside Chat with Steve Huffman @ Goldman Sachs 2026 Conference

Hey everyone – Earlier today, Steve wrapped up his fireside chat at the Goldman Sachs 2026 Communacopia + Technology Conference. If you couldn’t tune in, check out the recording and TL;DR below for some of the main points Steve touched on:

Building a daily destination. We’re focused on making Reddit a better daily destination and growing high-value app users by improving the user experience and expanding Reddit’s use cases. One way we’re doing this is by improving feeds. Feeds are the primary way users learn what Reddit has to offer, discover communities they may love, and experience content that exists nowhere else. With AI, we’re better at connecting users with the content and conversations most relevant to them. We’ve made solid progress, driving deeper engagement and helping grow our business.

Commercial business momentum. Reddit is the only company currently in the S&P 500 to grow revenue over 60% for the last eight consecutive quarters (and yes, we’ve had this one loaded for some time and have been waiting very patiently to share it). Jen deserves a ton of credit here – she built a full-funnel, global, ~$3B ads business from the ground up.

Content licensing partnerships. It’s clear that Internet consumers want Reddit content – Reddit has been a top-10 searched term in the U.S for several years. Search platforms and AI models need Reddit’s human content to deliver what people ultimately want. We believe people will continue to seek out Reddit content whether they start their search elsewhere or come to us directly. Our opportunity is to capture the value of our content in ways most accretive to Reddit, and we believe we have plenty of optionality. We know some of you want more specifics, and we intend to provide them when the timing is right. Across any outcome, we’re confident in our path forward and the continued growth of our core business.

Looking ahead. We still have work to do to make Reddit a daily habit, but it’s already one of the most visited sites in the U.S. and the world. Our advantages grow even stronger as real human conversations are becoming more valuable in the AI era. We believe Reddit’s total addressable market is everyone on the internet, and we’re well positioned to keep scaling the ads business, growing users, and monetizing better.

Thanks for tuning in and for continuing to follow our journey.

Reddit Will Be Added to the S&P 500

**SAN FRANCISCO—(BUSINESS WIRE)—**Reddit, Inc. (NYSE: RDDT) will join the S&P 500 index, effective prior to market open on Tuesday, August 18th. Its addition to the S&P 500 underscores Reddit’s value, sustained performance as a public company, and its 1-of-1 financial model, highlighted by a rare combination of growth and best-in-class profit and cash flow margins.

“We’re proud to be added to the S&P 500, recognizing the growth, momentum, and consistency we’ve established as a public company,” said Drew Vollero, Reddit’s Chief Financial Officer. “Reddit’s raw materials are special, and there is so much potential to continue building great products and scaling profitably. Our focus remains on executing against the many opportunities ahead.”

Reddit’s differentiated model is powered by deeply engaged communities and authentic human conversation. As one of the most visited websites in the U.S. and the world, Reddit plays an increasingly important role in the AI ecosystem as more people seek real information and human perspectives. Its platform is an ever-growing corpus of 26+ billion posts and comments that capture human experiences across nearly every topic.

Reddit’s inclusion in the S&P 500 is an off-cycle index change prompted by the acquisition of a current S&P 500 constituent. With this change, Reddit will be recognized as one of the ~500 largest and most influential public companies in the U.S., and is one of the fastest-growing companies in the S&P 500.
