I thrift almost all of my clothing. In the last few years since all the marketing campaigns pushing laundry add-in scents, I have been having a very hard time getting all the laundry perfumes out of clothing. I only use unscented laundry products and hang my laundry in the sun to dry. The sun really helps, but often it takes several cycles to get the smell out. Has anyone else noticed this and if so how do you remove the scents without paying for expensive professional cleaning?

Everyone has their own definition of frugality, and reason for being frugal. You are free to discuss and debate differences, but don't fight over it, or be condescending to those who do not share your particular view on frugality.
Stores, products, prices and resources all vary by location. What works for you might not work for others, and vice versa. Please remember that not everyone lives where you live.
We allow some types of political discussions on this subreddit, but it should be focused on policy, not people or politics. Such comments must abide by our political rule.
The subreddit’s rules exist for a reason. Obfuscating your comment in an effort to bypass automated filters may result in a ban.
Don't be baited into violating the rules. “They started it” isn’t an excuse. Report infractions and let the mods handle it.
