What our Stakeholders' say?
“This training has been an eye-opener. It addresses the dilemma of allowing children to gain digital skills while preserving their values. I’ve learned to improve my own gadget etiquette and implement practical solutions like parental controls. Now, I’m even challenging myself to understand my child’s digital world by learning to play their favourite games!”
Ms Irene Mwangi, the school counsellor - Kiota SchoolI was highly privileged to have had an opportunity to have attended a parenting class with Evelyn of Eveminet. The presentation was shocking, informative and very practical. The session that shows a projection of how the digital era is affecting our social was very sobering. Without a shadow of a doubt raising children in this digital era is going to be very tricky.
I personally learnt that it is important to create a discipline around screen time as it is very easy to allow our phones to take center stage in our day to day activities. I have learnt how to put away my phone to have quality time with my family. I have also increased play time for my son as a way of keeping him away from the screen. I can say he is developing well.
My experience during training has been rewarding, engaging with children, teens and youths from different cultural backgrounds having discussions and seeing them want to know more about being safe online (their enthusiasm )is truly inspiring.
One of the best part of the training is the ‘aha’ moments, seeing the people I am training gain something from the session is truly gratifying and encouraging .
After the training sessions, I have noticed a few changes in some of the participants ,they try to increase the awareness and implement strategies, creating initiatives that will bring together people and educate them on how to be safe online like( camps, church gatherings , cleanups)
Anita Jepchumba, Eveminet ToT from Nandi CountyMy experience during the training has been epic,I have learned a lot of things that I didn’t know and thus made me have the knowledge to train the youth and young adults too.
The best part of my training experience has been the traveling since it is my hobby,I have managed to travel to many parts of the country, the interactions between different people from different cultural backgrounds ,ethnic groups, tribes and religion is awesome, what I love the most is the love, passion, friendship, support and teamwork that we all have in our training. Sharing different strategies and coming up with new ways to engage the young people and also our parents to inform them about online safety.
Since I started training I have interacted with so many people, in that I have observed a lot of changes i.e students are now feeling safer online, they are able and will to enter their correct age on social media accounts, some are willing to pair their accounts with their parent’s, and also spend limited time on social media platforms. We have created a safer internet.
‘I am highly privileged to consulted for Eveminet Communication Solutions Limited, a company that excels in creating safer digital environments for children and communities through its expert online safety training. Supporting this impactful mission by streamlining financial processes is a rewarding experience. I highly recommend their expertise in delivering quality programs and valuable resources that make a real difference’
Francis Mutua - CPA & Finance ConsultantWithout a doubt, I confidently recommend Evelyn & Eveminet to any parents seeking to see a change in the “gadget-obsessed children”. I see her kids 100% happy & content without the phones/ tablets when it’s not the time for them. They are proud to share its screen time or it’s not screen time ….well conscious that too much of internet isn’t healthy…actually, her children are already mentoring the children in the estate indirectly.
Youth are the majority consumers of online content and yet the same youths find themselves being the victims of the same content they consume. As a TOT I believe being a youth leader the aspect of peer to peer reach will enhance best on how I’m going to deliver and engage with my fellow youths in regards to online engagement
Moses Otieno - Siaya County Trainer“I’ve learned that it’s important to manage my screen time wisely. Instead of having conflicts with my bosses over spending too much time online,I can take control by setting screen time for my self. This helps me balance my on-screen life. I’ve also learned to always think before I post, because while people may forget, the internet never does.
