Absolutely no censorship of words

Talk about it like a grown adult or don’t talk about it at all. Absolutely no use of “unalive, grape, sh**t, K*ll, Sewer Slide, etc.. Anyone using these words to take away from the seriousness of the issues will have their post removed.

Be civil

Ragebaiting or making inflammatory comments is not allowed. Doxxing and stereotyping are also banned here.

Absolutely no threats of violence or celebrating violence towards any user or person regardless of beliefs. This includes mentions of rioting and killing someone, or celebrating/wishing for death. Posts must be GIFs

No images allowed. Posts must be in GIF or video format with caption text in the media itself.

No disinformation

Your post's claim should be clear in your source. Ideally, it should be in the first few sentences of your source; but, if it isn't, feel free to add context from the author (i.e. quotes) in your post or comment.

If you think someone'll ask "where does it say that?", you probably should add context.

Posters should clearly identify if something is a rumor.

Do not sensationalize events or claim something is happening when it is not.

No clickbait.

No opinion pieces

Only factual news is allowed here. Please don’t post opinion pieces from news sources. An opinion piece is something that does not give new information on an event but only states an opinion/analysis of it.

No reposts

Please do not repost or post news that was posted before. If your post gives new information that has not been posted on this subreddit yet, it should be fine.

History Posts

History posts are allowed on April 1st and April 1st only. Any history posts outside of April Fool’s Day will be deleted.

Posts must have neutral titles

Ideally, post titles should be exactly the article title or paraphrased; but as long as they are neutral, they are OK. Any captions within a gif are to be neutral as well. Gifs themselves however are to have a bit more freedom.

GIFs must be relevant to headline

We do not allow low effort posts where you slapped the first gif you found on a headline. Please ensure gifs have some relevance to the headline. Examples include reaction gifs and gifs pertaining to something in the headline.

As well, GIFs that are excessively insensitive or disrespectful toward serious tragedies, victims, deaths, or similar events may also be removed at moderator discretion.

Kevin GIFs are exempt from this rule.

Banned sources

Sensationalist tabloids that have a tendency to falsify events are not permitted as sources here.
