Mixing Henna Paste Question (for Hair)

Has anyone tried putting semi permanent dye inside their henna?

All good with my henna. But wish I could get more vivid red/burgundy results. Last time I did henna I put some semi permanent direction dye after and the results were really nice. But of course the dye was coming off everytime I was washing my hair.
