On U.S. House Vote to End Foreign Military Financing to Israel
A Statement from JCRC of Greater Boston CEO Jeremy Burton:
It is impossible to fully convey in a statement the sense of concern, surprise, confusion and even anger that various members of our Jewish communal network here in greater Boston are experiencing in the wake of the unanimous vote by our U.S. House delegation in support of Congressman Massie’s Amendment #8 on July 15.
Our Focus Areas
Government Affairs
We advocate for legislation, state budget allocations, security funding, and policies that reflect Jewish values and advance the interests of the Jewish community — and contribute to the well-being of broader society.
Combating Antisemitism
We partner with civic leaders and interfaith networks who will engage with the Jewish community and share our commitment to our future and Israel’s future, ensuring the Jewish community in Massachusetts is supported and understood. JCRC’s CEO Jeremy Burton served on Massachusetts’ first-in-the-nation Special Commission on Combatting Antisemitism.
K–12 Education
Through our partnerships with school districts and our work to ensure state funding for the Genocide Education Trust Fund, we empower schools to educate against hate, uplift Jewish identity in the classroom, and better understand and support Jewish students.
Interfaith & Community Engagement
By deepening relationships and standing with other groups, we create a more compassionate world for all.
