Go Postal is a delivery company appearing in Grand Theft Auto V and Online and due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI.
Description
[edit | edit source]Grand Theft Auto V and Online
[edit | edit source]Go Postal is one of the two main delivery companies operating in Los Santos, the other being Post OP. The company utilizes Boxville and Pony vans for deliveries. Go Postal also seemingly operates the Go Loco Railroad company, as they share identical logos and similar double meanings in their names and slogans.
GoPostal also operates several stores and delivery depots in the city, the most prominent of which being the Go Postal Building in Alta. The company is also implied to have offices within 707 Vespucci, as the office tower is also referred to as the Go Center.
The player can buy stocks from the company on the LCN Exchange website.
Grand Theft Auto VI
[edit | edit source]Go Postal is seen to have a presence in the State of Leonida, competing along other delivery services like DTH, Scoop, and the U.S. National Mail Service. As seen in An Extended Look, the company also operates stores and depots in the state. The company also appears to have updated its logo, but the older logo is still seen occassionally.
Influence
[edit | edit source]The company is a parody of delivery company FedEx. Looking closely, the "Go" portion of the logo is a curved arrow pointing to a 270° circle, likely parodying the hidden arrow seen in FedEx's logo.
Etymology
[edit | edit source]The company's name, similar to their Go Loco subsidiary, is a double meaning, referencing to the term "Going postal", which is slang for somebody who has gone into a psychotic rage. This is further emphasized by the company's taglines "We aim not to lose it" and "Collect Yourself".

Trivia
[edit | edit source]- The logo features the unique Ⓟ sign, which is similar to the registered sign ® and copyright sign © used for many other trademarked products or businesses in the game. The Ⓟ symbol is meant for "sound recording copyright". However, this is not a sound recording or a sound recording company. It is likely that the Ⓟ symbol stands for 'parody', as the Ⓟ logo is used on other fictional company logos.
